Cafod Club invited family members to their weekly Monday afternoon session.
They were given the opportunity to see the types of planting and sowing that we as a group do on a regular basis especially at this time of the year.
Each family group had three tasks to complete. First, they chose a packet of flower seeds from a selection including cornflowers, marigolds and forget-me-nots.
Next, we showed the adults a quick and easy way to grow tomatoes at home by cutting fresh tomatoes and using the seeds, they were very impressed.
Finally, we all planted a begonia bulb each of either a yellow or orange flower which we took home to care for and watch it grow.
A great afternoon was had by all and the adults all look forward to returning again in the summer term for more activities. Thank you to all who attended.
