Year 6 were lucky enough to visit Condover Hall Activity Centre in Shropshire for the residential retreat. It is a JCA Adventure’s flagship activity centre offering a combination of indoor and outdoor activities. The hall itself is one of the most outstanding Elizabethan manor houses in England, being Grade 1 listed.
During our time at Condover, we explored a range of activities promoting teamwork and difficult challenges. Many of the activities pushed us out of our comfort zone but created a tremendous sense of achievement afterwards. The high aerial trek was a particular challenge but as one student said, “A once in a lifetime opportunity as I probably won’t get to do it again.”
All in all, the children had a wonderful experience and were exemplary ambassadors for our school.
