After learning about the Ancient Egyptians as part of their History Curriculum, Year 3 concluded their topic with a visit to BMAG.

They took part in a workshop looking at ancient artefacts and how archaeologists have discovered secrets from the past. Children then took part in a burial of a mummy, discovering what went in the tombs of the pharaohs.

Each child had the opportunity to create an Egyptian bracelet to wear to the funerary procession of the recently deceased pharaoh.

To conclude, the children had a tour of the art gallery, particularly looking at the Birmingham Made display, which celebrates our industrial past and heritage.
