School Council have launched ‘Walk to School Week’ as part of National Walking Month. Schools across the country, including children and school staff are encouraged to travel to and from school in a sustainable, healthy way!
Each morning, School Council have taken a tally of children that have walked to school as exercise is important to keep our bodies healthy and strong.
On Wednesday morning, staff and children showed solidarity by joining together at Centre Park to create a walking bus which was a great way to start the day. Thank you to the 110 children that took part even though the weather was terrible!
