Event - KS1 Enrichment Week

9 May 2017

Children from Key Stage O1ne have enjoyed lots of different activities during enrichment week. Prior to enrichment week children chose which activity they wished to take part in, then worked in mixed aged groups each afternoon.

Activities included outdoor multi sports, art, sewing, traditional board games, bird watching, computing, gardening and construction. Children had the opportunity to try activities that they may have not experienced before. They demonstrated great team work whilst learning new skills.

We are growing salad leaves in pots that we can take home and hopefully eat soon!
During sewing enrichment, children practised sewing buttons and stitching together felt to make a cushion.

The IT group created their own videos to show people how to be kind online.
Children made a flower wreath and basket by practising our cutting skills.

Multi sports concentrated on football, tennis, balancing and athletics.
The bird watching group travelled to Kingsbury Water Park to observer the birds in their natural habitats.

We had a great time recording the different species that we could see at the Water Park.
We listened to story of 'The night the toys came alive' then used construction to make our favourite characters from the story.

The children were very competitive during board games for enrichment.
