Event - Shared Lenten Liturgy

17 April 2019

Today, we gathered together as Catholic schools to bear witness to Our Lord’s sacrifice for us. During Holy Week, we must be attentive to God’s calling. Through this attentiveness, we can become learned and our hearts and minds can be refreshed.

We can use our wisdom from God’s calling and change the world. We can learn from Peter, the rock on which our church was built. He was human just like us. Eventually, he understood how being attentive to our Lord led him to his calling in life.

We enjoyed the opportunity to prepare this thoughtful assembly with pupils from St Chad’s Primary School and St Joseph’s Primary School, Nechells. The assembly was performed in each school during Holy Week.

"It’s not enough to know Christ; we must bring him to everyone!"
