Event - Year 6 Visit Oscott College

20 June 2019

On Thursday 20th June, Year 6 visited St Mary’s College, Oscott.

We spent the day with some of the 65 seminarians, including Peter and Jonathan, who have spent time in our school helping with liturgies, prayer services and altar server training.

They took us on a tour of the college, which included the museum. We looked at a number of artefacts and relics and each seminarian gave us a talk on the different areas of the college. They shared their experiences of training and were open to questions from the children.

It was both informative and thought provoking and we were honoured to spend time with these inspiring future priests.

The day concluded with the celebration of Holy Mass in the beautiful chapel, where all the trainee priests joined us. A fitting end to a lovely day.

"It was really interesting learning about the life of a seminarian," commented Hana.

Guerschom said, "It inspired me to work hard as the seminarians do."
