Event - Safer Internet Day

7 February 2018

The Digital leaders in Year 5 and Year 6 prepared an assembly for KS1 and another for KS2. As it was Safer Internet Day, the Digital Leaders were explaining how to stay safe online and how we should all behave online.

The leaders asked their peers lots of thought provoking questions, as well as how we should react in different scenarios online. By using, our Gospel Virtues St Gerard's Digital Leaders are available within school to offer E-Safety awareness support to children.

After each assembly the Safer Internet Day work continued into each class with age appropriate activities linked to this year's theme of 'Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you'.

Well done to our Y5/Y6 Digital Leaders.

Do you connect with friends online?

Do you know who you are talking to when online gaming?

How can a digital leader help you?

Have you set your privacy settings when using social media apps?

What should you do if someone online upsets you?

Remember to be respectful to everyone online.

A great opportunity to ask questions about online safety.
