Event - A Visit from the Sisters of Mercy

21 March 2017

On Tuesday 21st March, the children had some very special visitors. Two Sisters of Mercy, from the same order as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, came to talk to different classes about their charity work.

Sister Irene spoke of her life as a nun and explained how much of an inspiration Saint Teresa of Calcutta has been to her. The children listened really well as the Sisters spoke with such passion.

Each child was given a prayer card and a miraculous medal of Our Lady and they were taught a simple prayer, asking Mary to be a mother to each one of us.
