Event - Year 5 Visit Symphony Hall

6 March 2017

On Monday 6th March, Year 5 visited the Symphony Hall for the Music for Youth Primary Proms concert. The children watched a variety of musical performances including Japanese drumming, a jazz band, a folk trio and choir singing - all performed by young people. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to experience live music by such talented youngsters, who were truly inspirational.

After the performances, Year 5 enjoyed the sunshine and ate their lunch outside, before heading on to the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

To link in with Year 5's topic work on Ancient Greece, the children explored the museum and its Ancient Greek artefacts. The children are looking forward to creating their own Greek vases back at school!
