Event - Year 2 Outdoor Learning

2 November 2017

During the last half term Year 2 have been busy undertaking outdoor learning in Katie's Wildlife Garden.

Around the pond we found numerous tadpoles of the common frog that have just completed their transformation into four legged froglets. They were tiny but now fully able to move about on land.

During our bug hunting lessons, we used a species chart to help us identify the different types of bugs. We looked around the base of trees, in flower beds and under stones to find insects that we could examine. We thought about any distinctive features and the number of legs to help us identify different minibeasts.

We are excited to continue our learning next half term.
